Questions? We've got you.

Here's how Monkey Marketplace works, how to stay safe, and what to do when something doesn't look right.

Buying and selling

01 How does Monkey Marketplace work?

Monkey Marketplace uses Discord forum posts as listings. Communities connect servers around shared topics, so a listing may appear in more than one participating server. Open a listing and use its buttons to contact the seller, make an offer, or start a purchase.

02 Does Monkey Marketplace handle payments?

No. Buyers and sellers arrange payment directly with each other. Monkey Marketplace does not collect, hold, or process payment for marketplace deals. Never share passwords or one-time security codes with another user.

03 How do shipping and tracking work?

Buyer and seller agree on shipping directly. When the seller has shipped the item, they can register the carrier tracking number so Monkey Marketplace can relay carrier status updates. Tracking updates are not proof that an item is authentic or that a transaction is safe.

04 Can I make an offer instead of paying the listed price?

If the seller enabled offers, use Make an Offer on the listing. The seller can accept, decline, or counter. Keep the agreed price and shipping details clear before sending payment.

Accounts and communities

05 Why do I need to verify my account?

Some marketplace features require account verification to make abuse harder. You can see the verification options in your dashboard. Your verified phone number is not shown publicly.

06 What is a community or node?

A community connects Discord servers that want to share listings about the same topic. Server owners can manage which communities their server joins from the dashboard, subject to the available permissions.

07 How do I report a user or listing?

Use the report controls available on the listing or profile in Discord. Include specific details and evidence, but do not post anyone's private address, phone number, or other personal information in public channels.

Trust and support

08 What if a seller stops responding?

Save your conversation and transaction details, contact the other party through the listing if appropriate, and report the issue to the marketplace team. Because payment is arranged directly, recovery options depend on the payment method you chose.

09 What items are allowed?

Only list lawful items that can be legally sold and shipped. Counterfeits, scams, prohibited goods, and items that violate Discord or applicable law are not allowed. When in doubt, do not list the item until you've checked the rules.

10 How do I get help?

Use the support or reporting options in the Discord server where you found the listing. Include the listing link, the other user's Discord ID, and a concise explanation. Never send your password or authentication code to anyone claiming to be support.
